FCBO has an Ignore Thread option, I don't see it on FABO?

Alan

There is an 'ignore' member button & it can be very useful.

It's here.
I have a handfull of people on my list, keeping me out of trouble on this forum.

Yes, done that, looking for Ignore Thread, on FCBO it is in the Thread Tools menu next to the Watch Thread link.

Click on the person you want to ignore. It will open their profile page. It's right there, just click on ignore.

He wasnt asking about ignore a user - he wants to ignore a whole thread -- which has been enabled now

That's a new one on me.
Never knew about an "ignore thread" on any of the alphabet soup forums, before.
Wouldn't just not opening the posting at all, be just as sufficient?

Yup, just one less to scroll past every time someone posts something, some threads are more so than others.

It is sad that people are not capable of seeing something that they do not like and just moving past it.

So if you ignore a person does their posts just not show up in the thread at all? Or does it show that they posted and you just cant see what they said? That seems like that could get confusing. Lol more than one person talking but you only see one person. Be like wth is this guy talking to himself. Lol

You will not see any new posts they start or any replies in other peoples threads.

Great way to avoid those that just post to annoy others etc. that have nothing useful to offer.

Works great for F-bombers, racists, people with low opinions of women, etc.

I have no room for people with those mentalities in my life, so the ignore feature is a wonderful thing.

In general, I agree. I think you have to open the thread to ignore it. Seems like a lot of effort. LOL
I could see it being useful if shopping for parts and you use it to not keep seeing ones that you already looked at and don't want to keep coming up.
