Was wondering if a 1967 barracuda trunk floor panel will work on a 1965 barracuda? Looks like someone replaces spare tire section of the floor and now I cant get the new fuel tank installed in it.

Also if someone could measure the diameter of the factory spare tire section

Don't think so I had to find one from a 64-66. Think the drop part might work though ask Rick@laysons

I know the 67-9's are wider than the early cars. Best to get the right piece instead of trying to make the wrong piece fit.

I know its wider trunk but if the spare tire section is correct size I can trim the width down main focus is getting the right spare tire section so the fuel tank can go back under it.

I measured the spare tire well in a 64 Valiant we have on site, and it is 27" in diameter.

I measured the spare tire well from a 69 Barracuda, and it is also 27" in diameter.

This is my '66 Barracuda with the spare tire well from a '68 Valiant. I only used the tire well, not the entire floor. Fuel tank fits without issue.
