Happy Return to Incandescent

I much prefer incandescent, and halogens
I agree the cfls never lived up to their reputations.
To me LEDs are bright to look at, but just don't have a penetrating light. So I installed 18 of 'em in GU-10 pot lights in my livingroom ceiling. Now I have
brightness, penetration, long-life and I can't see 'em unless I am directly under one. And all together they draw less than a 100watt bulb....... They used to be 55watt halogens and were great heaters, cuz no matter where I sat there were always about three of them keeping my head warm, lol. Not so good having 990 watts overhead in summer,DOH.
In the dining room I installed 8 pot lights all with Halogens ; one over each place-setting,because they cast a beautiful silvery light on the food in the plate, and make even baloney look good. They are also in the kitchen ceiling.
Incandescent in the bathroom,so I don't kill myself shaving.
Every room has a ceiling fan with incandescent.
And I put the left-over cfls in the basement, which is just a storage cave. The only reason I ever went to the cfls in the first place was because our electric company had a program that paid a huge rebate on them, making it very attractive........... and the quality of the incandescent was rapidly declining. I no longer buy cheap incandescents.
