You would think so. When I called they claimed that I was the first with this problem. As you can see there is more than the required amount of "Meat" in this area. Why is the intake cast back that far? When I asked those questions again the answer was they had never heard of this problem. I sent them the same picture as I posted here. The real kicker is between the Pro Flo 3 and Pro Flo 4 now a year later there have been some mods to the intake mold in the front to the water temp ports but this problem persists.
It's not that big of a deal to grind off the excess material. I just want everyone who is interested in the small block kit to know they may have some additional work to do before assembly unless Edelbrock has changed something in the past few months.
