Tell us more about what your intentions are for the car. Street? Strip? Both? IMO the Schumacher mounts and headers make the swap pretty easy but may not be right for your objectives. I have a 400/451 with power steering and power brakes. I used the Schumacher pieces and they work well for me. Make sure you have adequate radiator/fan capacity. Plan out your transmission linkage/kickkdown. I used Lokar.I have a 69' Dart Custom/6 cyl, have a 383/727, K-frame,torsion bars,70's LBP disc-brake/control arms,8 3/4-3:23 SG, im gonna swap this stuff in, any DIY/ how to's on this project?

Driveshaft may need to be shortened and modified with the correct u-Joints. Heater fan motor may need to be relocated. Bigblockdart.com has a lot of good reference material. Good luck and post questions when you hit a snag.
i see thx againSchumacher engine mounts.

Matter of opinion, I have never seen an LA run in the low 9`s at 3000 pounds , naturally aspirated. He even Backed the carb off and went 9.60`sw . There is a big block 71 cuda running 10 o`s backed way off here too.Headers are no fun, especially the ones my bro had and it was only a B block! We couldnt figure out how these headers were made for this 69 Fastback, dings and dents everywhere. B/RB's are fun but hot LA's are quicker. I could never overcome traction issues....CNC headed 451 in a 65..you think?
thank you sir.Nope just use the original, just read the instructions and you'll be good to go.
we ARE talking street...right? No one is going to build a LA for 9 second drags. Unless your Carlton and want a 8.6 Colt or a Sox 8.98 Duster. Hoe about an 8.3 Arrow? Ok lets keep it real...street carsMatter of opinion, I have never seen an LA run in the low 9`s at 3000 pounds , naturally aspirated. He even Backed the carb off and went 9.60`sw . is my 383 an RB, i didnt think so, its circa 1968.The only wrinkle is, the Schumacher mounts are hard to get right now. You'll notice that many of the part numbers are "out of stock" on their web site. Their dealers, like Mancini Racing, don't have them in stock either, and there is no firm ETA on when they will be back in stock. I talked to Mike Schumacher a couple weeks back and he said he had a batch of A-body RB swap mounts nearing completion, but he was reluctant to guarantee that I could get a set; apparently, there is a waiting list of back orders. So if you want to do a swap in the near future, you might want to look at alternative options like finding a used set (which is what I did) or going with an engine mount plate or elephant ears, which a lot of people who have done the swap highly recommend.
However - Schumacher does have the Tri-Y headers for the A-body RB swap in stock right now...I just got a set delivered last week.

Big block K-members were only made in 67 - 68, are pricey when you can find them used, and from what I have read, don't work with all RB / B block castings. Direct Connection produced a big block K-member for a few years, but they are pretty scarce now and reportedly were not of the greatest quality when new. Another option is to modify a 73+ small block K-member. Sorry - don't mean to rain the gloom and doom on you, but I just went through this myself trying to figure out my path to a big block swap.
