Hey guys,
I have an 85 dodge d100 (yeah, not an abody, sorry). Its a 225 with a 833OD. The other day i went to start it and noticed the clutch pedal felt like it had little resistance. When i went to start it it bucked on me like the clutch was still engaged. I went to take it out of gear and it was difficult to get it into neutral. Then i started it no problem but the clutch seemed to do nothing and it ground the gears when i tried to put it in gear. Does anybody have an idea what to look for when i pull the inspection cover to see whats wrong? Anything specifically i should look for?

Check the linkage from the pedal to the fork... make sure it's actually moving. This could be as simple as a plastic Z-bar bearing that cracked and fell out.

If the fork is moving on the outside of the bellhousing (about an inch at the pushrod hole), then it's time to pull the cover and check (with a feeler gauge) how much plate departure you have. (Obviously there is not enough because the truck is moving and the gears grind with the pedal depressed fully).
