Hey Folks,

I haven't had a chance to dig into it yet since I am at work, but wanted to throw it out there to the FABO crew. Will go through any responses when I get home tonight.

1972 340
MSD 6AL, Blaster 2 coil (newish), Ballast Resister Jumped (?) Electric fuel pump, New Plugs, New Wires, New Cap & Rotor.

So, I was driving my Duster home at lunch time today, a buddy was following me to drive me back to work. She fired right up as always, drove it 20 minutes home without any issues, was running great as always. I idle up to my house and the motor just quit. Getting plenty of fuel but guessing no spark (didn't have time to check it). Cranks fine. It's always something.

Tonight I will:
Check for Spark
Check the bulkhead connections
Swap Ballast Resistor (If I have one laying around)

What else shall I look at?

Thanks in advance!
Pat

6AL does not use a ballast resistor.

That's what I thought. It appears to have been jumped. Figured I check with folks that know more than me! Trouble shooting electrical issues are the bane of my existence LOL! Been 4-5 years since I last had to dig into the Duster for electrical issues.... fingers crossed it's and easy diagnosis and fix.

An engine needs four things to run. Air, fuel, spark and the right timing. Check to see you have gas in the tank. One of those four ain't right.

Check coil wire, sometimes air inside pushes the boot off coil.

Thanks for the input everyone. It was the bulk head connector. Fiddled with it and she fired right up. Gonna look into closer this weekend.

Be well,
Pat
