already have an holley black electric fuel pump
for the last 10 years

dont have any problem with it but its noisy
I dont know if Im getting old but for a quick and short
ride in town its ok but a for a long ride with wife and kids
its so loud and Im tired of it

what do you guys suggest me

the car consist as a street and strip duster
with 408 indy headed engine pushing close to 650
I have 1/2 sump tank and 1/2 braided hose from the pump to the regulator
running a 1000 cfm carbs

I know a return style pump and regulator should be quieter
but dont know wich one to chose from and wich one is the
best one

thanks Bob

I ran Holley pumps for years. I could not stand the noise anymore. Went with a quick fuel 230 pump with bypass reg. Very quiet, bolted right to the frame. 410 Stroker solid roller w2 heads on the street.

The quick fuel 230 pump is very similar to the Barry grant hot rod pump. Streetable and quiet. I like it, more fuel then you’ll ever need. Aeromotive would be my other choice.

do you remember the size of it

will it be important to make the return line #10 size line
because Im using the stock OE tank

sure I have the 1/2 sending unit but no return line to the tank yet
what did you do to yours
do you remember the way you installed it ?

Same here. I have an Awromotive pump that’s gotta go. It’s just too noisy. Been looking myself for something different that’s quiet and something that will support EFI if that comes in to play down the road. The Billet in-line pumps from Holley look pretty good and sounds like they’re quiet as well.

Anyone have one of these?

Holley 12-800 80 GPH HP In-line Fuel Pump

I think the Aeromotive stealth in tank pump kits with the 340 lph pump is a really good setup. I have that same pump in my aeromotive fuel cell. Very quiet for an electric pump.
