I know some of you are great at identifying original parts. Can anyone tell me if my starter is original to the 67 Dart? Including pics....
Thanks!

Dude it's the wrong one. Car is no longer original. Valve went down 80%. I'd just part the car out and take your losses. Sorry. Just kidding.

80's want the right number? Need to know exactly what year, motor, carb....

lol I know it's no big deal. I am just impressed that if it's correct for the year that it's lasted this long. My Jeep went through two in less than 7 years.

Mine is original on my 1972 Dart still. Well? 95% of my car is still original.

looks like the 26lb OEM design. Whats the date in the stamp? 86?

Probably an '86 (136= 13 week of 6th year of a decade) build then of a 1963 design...'87 being the end of the line. You got the upgraded '74 version large frame 1.8hp 2:1 reduction 360-400-440 starter there as opposed to the small frame '63 version 1.5HP 3.75:1 slant and teen starter.

I think he said 86, as the model number 411860 on his starter is a large frame so its post '74 at least.
