One more thing you will need to know after learning to read the diagrams;
Voltage and Amperage.
As best I can tell, this all started when you found at least one of the fusible links damaged or melted.
Voltage is potential for flow. Amperage is flow.
Current flows from the highest voltage to the lowest it can access. We measure the flow as Amps.
There can be voltage without amperage.
There is no flow (amperage) when the circuits are open (switches are off) even though the battery side has 12+ Volts .
The fusible link melts when there is too much flow.
