I think there is a lot of thing different between the street and the track.
If you go to a two speed, now you have a hole different learning curve as to what type of converter it likes.
A lot of 3sd getting it done

I know nothing! but i'm going to tell you any ways:rolleyes::D
I really think it has to do with the TQ and not in the way you might think.
I may be completely off base here, But i think they run a vary INEFFICIENT converter to get them out of the hole with out spinning(them steam roller slick help two) Have you seen the High Dollar Billet converters they use. I think there set up to give them a flat long torque curve that gets them out of the hole. Remember, they have more power then they can ever put down on the street. i think the converter is as much there power management as there on board power management.

You hear them bitching all the time that there tranny temp are too hot........ cool to cold nights, 1/8 pass.....How hot does your trans get in one run???

I have many other theories about street racing but it's just all "lazy boy" recliner theory:realcrazy::lol:
