Hi all, first here are the specs.
Daily driver '72 Dodge Dart Swinger, 318 5.2L LA with A904 automatic Torqueflite tranny, 7 1/4 rear axle.
Tires are Hankook P185/75 14 with 25" diameter.
My questions are (and please excuse my ignorance on this):
A- Is the axle ratio for the transmission 2.76:1? If not, how can I find out what it is?
B- Is the speedometer pinion 28 or 29 tooth for that tire diameter (provided it's a 2.76:1)?
C- When I remove the original speedometer adapter and pinion, will I be met with a large amount of tranny fluid rushing out? In other words, will I need drain the pan b4 removing the adapter and pinion.
Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

There may be some ATF in the back that will come out. Have a small catch pan.

Assuming the car is all original, the axle ratio might be marked on the axle housing (tag) and the fender tag.
The FSM will have the basic fender tag decoding. Or post photo here and somepone may help.

I hadn't considered the axle housing tag or fender tag which stairs me in the face every time I open the hood!
I was afraid to get flooded by ATF. More confident now.
Information Much appreciated.
