Source for 1969 ABody A/C switch button decals

I don't know if they carry them, but I would check Performance Car Graphics. They carry a LOT of the old Mopar decals and stickers. They carry all the ones I needed for my Charger.

The factory ones had the lettering molded in, but they are commonly worn down pretty good after years of use. One option is to screen print them back on (most restoration shops do that to make it look most original).

Other option is to sand them down nice and smooth and apply the decals. Not the best option, but better than running the worn and faded originals.

Backlighting wouldn't show through the vinyl "decal" material that is used on gauge screens, etc...
To install the correct material appliques ( not available ) the chrome sleeves would likely have to come off the buttons. There has to be a blinding edge around that type applique material because light bleeds out its edges. I doubt the chrome would capture that bleed.
At the same time these button stems have yellowed so bad over the years that very little light shines through them anyway. A vinyl decal ( if produced ) would have air trapped in the OEM fonts so it might not lay and stay. Just black and white paint could be improvement. Forfeit the backlighting.

I must be thinking of the wrong ones. I'm thinking of the A/C controls on a 68-70 rally dash (no backlighting)

My 69 barracuda a/c control has plastic buttons that have the lettering engraved in and they are filled with what I think is a white lacquer stick. Used to use those to fill in engraving on machine controls. The buttons are somewhat clear so the backlight illuminates them. I dont know if they are repoped, but I have seen them fir sale a few times. I think this switch is the same for a bodies from 67-72.
