WE DID IT. 5 second pass finally

-
Ahh Big E Block.
I seen the exhaust poking out the fender and figured it was a turbo deal
That oughta be a lot of fun!!!!!!

That was a picture of the car before I bought it with the exhaust out the side. It was then a nitrous small block that ran 5.0's. I had under car headers built for my big block.

you are lucky, 1/8 is about all I see around here anymore, or hear about, I don't go to 1/8 mile races !!
I guess all growing up, and even now, we always had a 1/4 mile marked out of town. It's where the fastest car was decided. I think 1/4 when I think drag race. 1/8 mile to me is kind of like a stop light war. But I'm not knocking those that race the 1/8. Lots of tracks are set up this way anymore. And no denying this father and son team is having a blast

On the last pass before I pull it this Winter we finally got a 5 second pass out of my small block. After running 6.001 three or four times I could taste it and wanted a 5 second pass out of this engine with a solid lifter cam. Nothing fancy, no tricks, and on a relatively budget build 7500.00 build. I was planning on upgrading to a roller cam and more compression over the Winter but I'm so spoiled by this thing I may just freshen the heads, rings, and bearings. Here's so video of the redlighting 5.98 pass.
