oil pan gasket problems la 360

-
last time I checked they only had the one piece for the LA360 - goo up those corners but good!!

I like the milodon crush proof gaskets. They seem to work well for me.

I'm interested in that one piece gasket from jegs... are you certain that is for an LA motor and not a magnum? Reading the comments on jegs one guy was having issues fitting an LA oil pan.

On the JEGS website it differentiates the Magnum from the LA.

The LA is described as: JEGS One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket 1970-1990 Small Block Chrysler 360
And linked here: JEGS 210495: One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket 1970-1990 Small Block Chrysler 360 | JEGS

The Magnum is described as: Milodon One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket Chrysler 360
And linked here: Milodon 41007: One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket Chrysler 360 | JEGS

I didn't catch this before, but the LA version is branded a JEGS product. But it looks nearly the same as the Milodon, so I'm guessing Milodon is actually manufacturing … well, both.

I can't vouch for the fact that it really is an LA one piece gasket … but that's what it is advertised as.

I’m running a one piece milodon gasket on an LA 360 with no leaks. Some sealer in the corners and away I go. It came in a milodon box. Using a Kevco oil pan.

I ordered one of the Milodon one piece gaskets from summit a few yrs. back that was supposed to be for an LA and it wasn't. It was for a Magnum and the pans are slightly different at the front. You can use a Magnum gasket on a LA pan if you want to silicone the snot out of the front corners to fill in the voids but that's the only way you won't have a major leak

Well ... what gives me hope is that there is no longer a 1 piece oil pan gasket for sale for the LA 360 on the Summit Racing website. I could only find it on the JEGS website. And they have tried to completely differentiate the LA from the Magnum.

I'm tired of the puking of oil everywhere I go so I took a chance and bought the LA gasket from JEGS. I may be pissed in the end, but it is a chance I'm willing to take. Good or bad (results), I'll come back on here and let you guys know how it comes out.

Do you have a link to that gasket? I could only find the Milodon Magnum 1 piece...

My bad, I was thinking you said 1 piece. But yeah, that's the gasket I will use if the 1 piece doesn't work out.

UPDATE: The JEGS One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket as mentioned above DID NOT WORK. I repeat … NOT. Do not buy that one for the LA360.

It doesn't have the notches for the back side of the oil pan. It will pour oil out if used.
