I used one of their converters in a big heavy 4 door full length bed Chevy TH400 with a stout 454 engine scrap hauling truck about 10 yrs. ago and it still works fine today. I've never heard a complaint about Hughes
My ex partner builds transmissions, "or used to", he said their stuff was good.
I have a hughs 3800 convertor in my car , a little too loose for street driving for my taste, but works well--------
