It’s a 74 sport rear and I shaved the trim and looks pretty bad ***! Smoked the light just a little and leds

That's bad-***. Takes a lot of courage to paint and drive a black car. My Avalanche is black and hard to keep looking nice in the agriculture business. Looks great when its clean though------------------

Nice ride! Look forward to mine being painted some day!!
It’s easy ! Body shops take forever as mine took a year!! And I just paid a little every time I could and before I new it I paid it off and was patiently waiting for it!

I have some things to do first. Hope to get the trunk panel and rear tail light panel welded in this winter, along with rebuilding the rear end ( painted all the parts this fall) and MAYBE start assembling the motor, transmission, K frame and front suspension.

Yea wish I would have done more before paint! Now I’m scared to look at it as I have tons of work still to do!

The car looks horrible. Give it to me and I will dispose of it for you.
Good call swapping out the beak.

Ain't that the truth!
My '69 Dart was in a shop for a year and the guy still hadn't finished the bodywork - replaced the passenger rear fender with a new skin. I pulled it out of his shop just before he went out of business.
Took it to another shop that was well-recommended to me. They said they would need four months to fix the bad work that the old shop had done and paint it. It's been there since January and when I asked last week if the car will be finished before the end of the year, the answer I got was, "...………………………...yes". Way too long of a pause to make me comfortable.

Looks great. Lots of work to get it that far but worth every minute.

Keeping the beak on my 73 Sport restoration. Had it when I first bought it in 73, keeping it now. Nothing wrong with the beak IMHO.

I have a 73 340 sport too and im keeping the beak. Not that it looks that bad, I just prefer the earlier front clip. Its a numbers matching 340 car so im keeping it original.

Looks really good and I saw you had a beauty shining it for you in the other thread that got deleted
