I have come to the fountain of all BB knowledge I hope. I have a 440 complete rebuild . I removed the stock exhaust manifolds and put on long tube headers. The bolts going into the heads are not sealing and drip quite a bit . One of Mopars better ideas was to have the bolts enter into the block water jackets. I am having no luck sealing the rear bolts . The original manifolds had studs threaded into the jackets and they could be sealed but I can't put in a stud and still get the headers on properly. Any suggestions for this other than going back to original stuff , would be much appreciated.

I would elongate the last hole into a slot so you can slide the header into a stud instead of onto a bolt.

stud it, or risk busting off a bolt. Slot flange as said or worst case, dip bolt in Gaskacinch before you tighten the bolt. Not a good option but you do what you gotta do.

Megaloc is the best sealer I have ever found and I have tried a lot of them.

Get some alumaseal, @krazykuda recommended it to me for the exact same reason. I used about 1/4-1/3 of the tube. Put it in a cold radiator put the cap on and ran it for a half hour. No more leak.

dump it all in. I had a radiator that had a pinhole in the front from a rock. It was pissing onto the crosswalk at a light right out the grill. I pulled into Trak auto and dropped 2.99 for a tube of this stuff. Let it cool over a burger and dumped it in and topped off. It was still leaking but it got slower and slower and finally stopped, leaving a trail of glitter down the radiator. I like the oily looking stuff with the little black balls in it. Doesnt leave compacted glitter in the block. But it does work.

i usually run a stud and sealant in the water jackets. maybe you could slot the back header bolt hole to help you swing it around to hang it on the front stud

Little tinfoil wrapped around cleaned upper (head) half of bolt threads+ threadlock. Just lodge between threads with dental pick.
Worked more than once for me.......
