snow plow tires

-
Thought about it.fearful of what breaks when chains are used. And i travel lots of highways.
Winch in back bumper is what i depend on.
I have pushed a lot of snow, didnt really think chains would make that much difference.
Unless working on ice...

Where you are I bet snow is "different". Around here we tend to get a lot of heavy, warm, wet snow. It is a hell of a lot slicker than cold "corn" snow. You push a bunch into a pile and screw up just a little and end up with tires sitting on a slick wet packed icy mess. You are done without help. Sometimes you can push out if you have hydraulic blade angle, reverse the angle while backing up eetc

We get our mild snowfalls. They are the worst.
My biggest problem i bring on myself. Pushing piles i sometimes get greedy, lift plow and turtle.
Chains dont help there.

Here is a pic, I did a typo on the tire size, they are actually 255/85/16

Sorry for the typo, but they are what is required for snow tires, tall and skinny.

no big deal on the typo, it just confused me a little

the tall and skinny exactly why i went with the 33X10.5s
(funny, i usually dont go for the tall and skinny kinds, but i digress)

if i thought i could have found them in 16s that would have been cool, but im pleased with that i have now
plus...i might still be able to sell the old rims and recoup some money

This is a pic of 33 10.50 15 on the same vehicle.
Way too wide.
I cannot remember right now the width of the 16" rims, but I do remember the 15" were 10 inches wide.
