I've redone a bunch of 8 foot fixtures (single pin bulbs). It's called a double ended bypass. Simply hook all the wires on one end of the fixture to the 'hot' supply wire and all the wires on the other end of the fixture to the 'neutral' supply wire.. Easy peasy. I used 6000K LEDs and they are nice and bright in a warehouse with 20' ceilings.

On the 2 pin style fixtures, they call for a single end bypass. Connect the 'hot' to the left side of the tombstones on one end and the 'neutral' to the right side of the tombstones. The tombstones on the opposite end do NOT get wired (they must be non-shunted tho). A little more complicated sounding but still easy to do.
