Favorite local restaurant?

Unfortunately for us, my wife was a career waitress for 17 years at multiple restaurants up to 5 stars and I was a dishwasher/busboy during Summers in College. We have seen all of the ugliness behind the scenes that the public never sees.

For us, going to a restaurant is a lot like going back to work...and we know far too much about the back of the house to relax and enjoy eating in the front of the house.

While we sometimes enjoy the occasional night out, we rarely do it. We know too much to be ignorantly blissfull about the experience.

We stick with home cooking and restaurants where we know people who work there...and know the secrets.
