hey ya'll, I finally got my 74 Duster back from paint and need to install the trunk molding / weatherstripping but, it's been so long I cannot for the life of me remember how it is supposed to go back on. Can someone please show me picture of how their molding looks?

man alive, you weren't kidding, dude is extremely difficult to listen to but, the content is exactly what I needed.

I think his method of glueing leaves a lot to be desired. I've been taught that you apply a thin coat of adhesive to both the weatherstrip and the body metal and let it dry, then apply a second thin coat to the weatherstrip and press it into place.

Are you saying to let the first cost fully dry, or get tacky? I agree that both sides should have adhesive applied to it.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I was glueing some weatherstrip. I use a small brush, an acid paint brush like they use in plumbing to spread the adhesive.

I did it like the clown did and with clothes pins. Turned out fine, but I seen the guy from steele rubber do it like retroron said too.
