I've had this shifter for 30 plus years when I got it the guy told me that it had come in the Hemi darts I really don't believe it I think it's just a old shifter from the 70s can anybody

confirm this for me

Looks like the old Hurst ratchet shifter I had one back in the 70s.I don't think it was a factory shifter, aftermarket by Hurst. Wrong knob on it obviously.

My brother’s 57 chevy had a similar shifter. Hurst quick shift?

If its like the one I had you have to manually ratchet it all the from park to 1st gear there was no lift handle and pull to 1st. From 1st gear you could hit it as hard as you like it would only shift one notch at a time. No lift handle to park, full manual ratchet up and down.

I had one of those in a 68....wait for it.....wait for it....camaro....there I said it....please direct all the hate mail to my 17 yr old self...lol

I remember I had a magazine with the original test of this car in it. I believe the automatic cars used that shifter.

Hopefully you didn’t overpay by too much 30 years ago when he claimed it was it of a hemi!
