restoring faded rear plastic side panels

well FWIW -using some meguiars and though it's for made for clear plastic, with a fair amount of effort it seems to be taking out all the crud and leaving a very clean glossy finish I will add some wax to. surprised. Must be layers and layers of dirt and wax on there...
