I've shipped thousands of parts over the last 15 years through USPS without one problem. Nodda, zip, not one. I package stuff to survive a 6' drop.
Also ship larger, heavier parts with FedEx without any problems,
Quit using UPS 10 years ago. Slow and expensive.

Thats how I do it too...pack it to get there...via a warzone.
USPS is my go to shipper. I always check their rates if its something shippable by them.
95% of the time I just hand the boxes to my carrier.
UPS if I have to, fedex isnt convenient.
Greyhound gets the solo big stuff under 100#.
The rest goes in a crate for truck shipment.
