My hood doesnt have a release cable, but before I shut the hood I wrapped some wire where it would be that I could use to pull. Now its been 2 months, and i cant get it open. I pulled that wire till it cut into my hands. I tried to put a screwdriver in and force the release over, and no dice. Its been soaked in WD40 and PB over and over. Should I remove the latch somehow from inside the engine bay? Theres no motor in the car so I can squeeze in there and fiddle around. But I feel like im overthinking it. Anyone got some tips? You could unbolt the latch and work with it after its up. I've pulled a lot of crazy shenanigans with hoods over the years. This is me in 1979.

Perfect. I was worried id have to cut it off or somethin. Gotta get the hood open and remove the clutch pedal and junk still. Buildin the floater axle now so ill have to take a crack at the hood next week. Always the small things rhat create the most delays it seems

Perhaps you need to have someone push down on hood.
Adjustable stops could be set too high.
