HEADS UP ON PAYPAL FEES CHARGING WRONG

.
Actually I'm wearing Mopar boxer shorts today.
And personally I don't care what you put in your ads as long as it's not ripping somebody off.
But when you see the fees are incorrect you see there's a handling fee you see there's a fee for driving it to the post office or to be picked up you get the general impression that you're dealing with a crook so if you want to be a crook you be a crook but I damn sure wouldn't spend a dime on you.
You really need to get a life and stop complaining about trivial meaningless s#@t in this lifetime.
You need to worry about the next time a tornado goes thru your town, and blows your house away, or one of your kids gets sick, and you have medical bills up the wazoo, or you loose your job, then you have something to really complain about.

I wont buy anything advertised with "+ Paypal fees". its just stupid

actually it's not stupid, its smart I had sellers say they want to pay with a check or money order or there are times when a buyer is local or traveling through
and will pick up the part and save shipping and pays cash.

placing the + pay pal fee in the ad makes it 100% clear what the part costs and avoids the price negotiation when a buyer proposes an alternative payment method.

not so my fine feathered friend, I usually sel at a lower cost, or have evejn given stuff away. I charge gas and shipping if giving it away.
.
It is too so, I'm wearing Mopar boxer shorts you want to see a picture of them.
I sold a 340 block an 8 3/4 housing and a 8 1/4 suregrip in the last month or so. Not once did I charge a paypal fee or a pallet fee or fuel money to haul to fastenal.
BTW Thank you FABO.

Well, good for you.
If that's the way you conduct your business when selling items, that's your business preference.
Fine and dandy.
You then factored all that into the initial cost(s) of the parts that you put up for sale.
Me, i keep parts costs, shipping, packaging, whatever, totally separate from one another.
That's MY business preference, and the way I was taught to do business.
That OK with you?

want a recommendation for the MoH? a Cookie? a round of applause? What does any of that have to do with my original post about paypal not charging the advertised fee?

I've personally don't consider dishonesty a trivial meaningless thing.

If you have had a tornado blow your house down or your health is gone and you need assistance all you have to do is say the word and there are people here that will help you including me.
Personally at this time I'm snowed in. My left eye gets lasered again next month I'm diabetic and my feet stink.

I've noticed it really seems to bother you about posting the correct fees. Why is that?

And i'm currently with being housebound, with the big fire that burned down the town of Paradice, California.
The air even 90 miles away is horrendous, and hazardous, being outside, tearing up my eyes, and making your throat raw.
And i have medical conditions that you can write pages in medical books about.
And there is nothing dishonest in putting the requested fee in an ad.

I know sometimes it's pretty hard to follow where threads go. I was responding to your number one post and at the same time there I was getting hit in the number 3 post So I responded to it.
I'm so sorry if this upsets anybody but I can't handle dishonest people and if somebody wants to charge the incorrect fees and rip people off that's wrong it's dishonest and it bugs the crap out of me so I'm sorry if I need to get a life but when you overcharge for things you're stealing and if you're stealing I don't want anything to do with you.
What is an MoH?

it wasn't people doing it... it is PAYPAL themselves...

Seriously,
$ 10.00 $ 0.30

Price of doing business, add or not, say up front or not. I've thrown so much money at my car I stopped counting, if I need it I buy it and I'm not made of money.
Likewise when I need gas I pull into the station and fill up, a nickle over my tank $1, easy in/out.

If you are worrying about 3%, your priorities are wrong, buy a Prius.

Just have an asking price. Not a price plus. Hate that.
Factor everything in as a seller and set your price IMHO.
Also i never turn down a money order payment as a seller or buyer.
Maybe im lucky but have had zero issues ever selling/buying on this site for over 10 yrs. but i do bypass the price plus folks.

3+% is a small price to pay for safe, convenient and immediate payment. sure beats running to the bank for a bank check.

I just have to LOL about the people saying they'll pass on a listing if it says plus 3% for paypal fees and getting all pissy about it. The alternative is you send the money via paypal friends and family and have absolutely no recourse if the seller doesn't send you the parts you paid for. Or the seller just jacks the price up but by saying it's "+3% for fee's" he's being up front about it. Or you stick to looking in your local newspaper for parts and go pay cash for them in person I guess?

Heck I would rather have someone want me to pay via "goods and services" and pay the 3% fee so I'm protected rather then the person that say no just send it F&F. Friends and family is like insurance for the seller because they don't ever have to worry about a dispute from the buyer.

Alan

This is what I have been saying. 3% is peanuts..

When sending "friends/family" there is an additional fee lol. Like $3 or 4$ PER transaction....**** me can we add a "Paypal" forum on here too??

USING Paypal isn't the issue. Paypal is safe and convenient for BOTH parties. I put my money where my mouth is and gladly give them thousands of dollars every year in Fees.

Its the 3% Gouger's ridiculous antics that's laughable. Just as the OP suggest: Pissing and moaning about his precious 75 cents! Seriously?

Its also the fool "3% Gouger" that's more than willing to dropping his price 10x more than their advertised "FEE" but no way he'll ever "lose" out on his precious 3% Fee. What a joke

Example:
Abody muffler bearing
$125 + 3% PAYPAL = $128.75

2 weeks later..price drop:
$100 + 3% PAYPAL = $103.00

"sure I'll take $25 less than what I'm asking but no way you'll ever get out of paying me my $3.00 Paypay fee! NEVER!"
Its the absolute idiot who does this, ei: most of the moron 3% Gougers.

Abody muffler bearing
Price Drop was 125 + 3% PAYPAL
$100 + 3% PAYPAL = $103.00

Hello. I don't do pay pal, but I can send a Certified MO and have you hold and not ship till the MO clears.
Need that muffler Bearing. From your ad I know the price. The 100.00 is right in line with what I would expect to pay. When you had the price at 125, that was on the high end, but 100 is a fair deal.

thanks

point is,
the part price and the Pay Pal fee are two different items,
and to those that ignore the sellers that break it out, thanks, that just leave's
more for folks like me.
and if it bugs you if some sellers disclose the pay pal fee, you may be a PITA to deal with in a sell anyway.
