New to the forum. Had jumped in awhile ago to offer some help but never really did it the correct way. I'm 67 years old. The first car I drove with a license was Dad's work car. A 62 or 63 Dodge Lancer. In 1968 he bought a new Dodge Dart. If he wasn't in it, I was. The Dart had 167,000 miles on it when I traded it in for a new 1983 Ram. In June of 2017 I flew to San Diego, Cal. and bought a one owner 1968 Dodge Dart GT. Had it shipped home and started the restoration early July. Stripped the car down to the last nut and bolt. In October I hauled it to a fellow working out of his garage for body and paint and got it back by February 2018.
While it was out for b/p, had the engine (273) machine work done and I reassembled it.
rebuilt the 904 trans.myself, tore the heater and a/c unit apart and resealed it.
sent the gauges and speedo out for rebuild. Since February, I've installed a new vinyl top,(friends helped a lot),heater a/c unit, dash, headliner, had seats reupholstered, installed the engine and transmission, rebuilt the front end with disk brakes, tries/wheels,new bumpers and the list goes on. Took it for a ride this July a year after it got here. Still have the door and quarter glass and some trim to install. If you've read this far, here is my question. Where the heck do you find the 14 clips/studs that hold the trunk lid trim panel on? Looked everywhere, even checked this Forum, but they were old posts. Thought maybe some NOS had showed up somewhere. If I ever learn how to post pictures I will. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forum. I’m sure someone around here has a line on what your looking for. I recommend learning how to post pictures first. It’s a must around here!

Thanks. It took me over an hour to type my latest post. I'm not very techie and I us the hunt and peck method.

Not "just another old man" but an old man with SPUNK!! Pics are a little tricky, make sure that the file size is not too big. If you use the JPG setting on the camera the pics will load with no problem.. treblig

Welcome to FABO. Just take your time and we can get you up to speed. If you want to talk to someone 1 on 1 you can click on their name above their Avatar (picture) and "start a conversation" then fill out the boxes and follow the instructions. Hell if this old fart can do it so can you. To upload photos, click on "upload photos" box on the lower right. Your photo file should pop up. You will have to open the correct file and double click on the photo you want to upload up to 10. When you're done click the "post reply" button. You got this! Don't be afraid to ask for help. We might give you a bad time but we do that to folks we like! LOL

Thanks for the kind words.

Did you check the Laysons link I sent? It might help if you can post a picture of one. These guys are awesome. I can promise you somebody has some or knows where to get them.

Will check them out. Thanks. Will go back and check for the link.

Anytime! Also we have a member here who works for Laysons, so you can get the forum discount. His screen name is Rick@Laysons. Even if you do not see the retainers you need on their site, contact Rick with your needs and he may be able to help.

Welcome to the greatest A-body site on the 'net! Sounds like you know your car inside and out very well. There's also a place here, called "Photo Garage" to post pics and description of your car and everything you've done to it. Don't worry about your age...lots of us "old guys" here!

Old?? I prefer “well seasoned”!! Welcome to the wonderful world of FABO, glad to have you with us!

Welcome to the site from Canada!
The hardest part isn't getting old, it's being old..............

This is my first attempt to load pictures of any kind anywhere on the net. Watch...they'll end on E-bay or face book. The four are of the car as I saw it in California in June of 2017, the last three were taken this July for an insurance appraisal.
