I have a1971 Dodge Dart and I need a new front window. How do I tell if I have a hard top or a coupe so I can order the right one.

I think the hard top has no supports between the front and rear side windows. The coupe would have them, and I suppose a wing window for the rear seat. That's my guess, so wait for confirmation on that before ordering. LOL. I think this is a 69 Hard Top

I've never seen a 71 that wasn't a hard top, dont mean they all are but if they made em there super rare...

Forgive me. I'll admit when I'm wrong. :(
Me Too!

But with this info from Wikipidia i'm more confused than before!

Sedan, Coupe, Hardtop, Convertible

Only two can I say with 100% certainty

Convertible = convertible
Hardtop = no post that supports the roof between front and rear window like a convertible but with a metal top

Come to think of it, I've never seen a 71 convertible dart? Nor a 71 dart post.

All I've ever seen is 2 door hard tops and sedans (4 doors).

I've never seen a 71 convertible or a 71 post car. All I've seen are 2 door hard top and 4 door sedan dart.

Sedans have a post. Ether around the door or in the body last the door.

Hard tops have no posts. The windows seal against each other.
