Moving near Crown Point, IN
Hope to get fully moved real soon, who is in the area and when/where are the good weather car shows/cruise-ins?

Crown Point is a good place to live... Many good stores and places to visit...
There is a nice gated neighborhood with homes on a lake called "Lakes of the Four Seasons"... We had a weekend 'cottage' there and was a nice place to hang out and water ski, tubing, fishing, etc.... We since have sold that home and no longer go there... If you decide to look at homes there, I heard that there was a foundation issue with some of them, so be careful and inspect if you want to buy one... They have a parade on 4th of July and many people throw parties and have a good time... We had many good times there...

There is also a water park with water slides east of Crown Point off of Route 30....

There is a drive in close by Crown Point called "Blue Top" that is a local cruise spot, however whenever I went there wasn't much turn out - maybe I have bad timing....

Crown Point is only about 45 min to 1 hour away from Joliet with both NASCAR oval track and route 66 drag Racing, and a dirt oval with demo derbies... Fun to watch and participate...

There are also some good events in the southwest side of Chicago that you may like. Many towns have their local cruises during the summer cruising season....
