Finally the decision has been made.

I have weighed ever option and turn every stone in the decision about my powerplant. As most of you probably know (but some may not so I'm gonna start from the top) my orginal plan for my dart was gonna be to regasket a 318 I pulled from a 86 dodge truck. But I kept running into issues and problems and the final issue was the bores was pitted due to some rust. So it needed bored. Well after lots of consideration and research and number crunching I have decided to...... (drum roll lol)
Build the old 360 I have setting in the building. It was originally pulled out of a 77 dodge charger about 15 years ago for my barracuda. But I ended up never using it. I did however use the heads on a 318 I put together that I put in the barracuda. When I sold the barracuda I swapped the 4bbl intake and heads out and kept them!
But the block has been setting in a building waiting to be rebuilt. So I have came up with a new plan and I'm sticking to it this time around!! I talked to a local machinist he is clean bore and hone for 190! I agreed to do the bearing and freeze plugs to save money. So here the build.
360 block .030 over (maybe .040 if .03 isn't enough)
Speed pro h116 pistons
Ported 360 heads with stock sized valves. I am gonna replace the old valves with new ones.
Lunati 10200703 camshaft
340 4bbl stock intake Holley 600cfm carb
Headers with dual exhaust.
I know the cam is a little large for a stock stall and 600cfm carb but It will give me room room upgrade without having to do a cam swap in the future. Later on a few years down the road i can save up get a better carb. 2800 stall and I will be set! And I have 8.8 limited slip 3.73 rearend for the future also. So by the time I'm finished I should have a peppy little combo!
What do you guys think?
I think you need some speed master heads, cheaper at 279. Each "today"
I think that 318 ... I'd hold onto it anyways.
