spiral staircase for loft
Gentlemen...the stairs are in
It took 5 of us really only a few minutes to get her corkscrewed through the window (2 guys in the bed of a pickup truck lifting, 2 guys inside the house hauling and and guy in the loft guiding)
Really, all that is left now is a cap from the centerpost of the stairs to the railing, a few trim pieces and perhaps a new light fixture
(And some touch up on the paint where we scraped it coming in the house)
What impressed me the most is how little room these stairs actually take up
As you can tell in post #67 I handy fully decided how to trim off the carpet on the opening...turned out I got the height of the box perfect that the mounting bracket for the stair acts as the trim piece
