3.9 high-stall converter behind a 318?

Stock is "around" 1200-1500 and hi stall is always about 1K about that. It's all combo dependent though. Put a nitro big block in front of it and it'll stall MUCH higher, right before it rips the converter apart.
I didn't realize there was that much difference between a regular and a high stall. I'm sure there will be an increase in HP/torque between the 3.9 and my 318, but how much, and how (if?) it will affect the stall, is obviuosly just a guess on my part.
