Below are a couple photos of my latest shop project. I needed a rolling steel topped work/welding table so I knocked this out in a couple days. Took four days to paint it though.
Our business shop has a 10' shear so I had them shear a 10GA sheet for the top and sides and they tacked it up for me. Below is the finished product.

That's a little to short for me, I would need at least 6' long and brakes, where are your brakes! I would lean on it and go shooting across the floor LOL.

It's a "drag racing" table.......no brakes required!!!
Two of the casters have brakes. My available space is limited which drives the build size. The casters and most of of the wood was free so I don’t have a lot in it. Not done tooling yet, still need a frame table but needed this table to build the frame table. 40 Ford and all you know

Either way it looks pretty nice and sturdy!!! Plus you can always downshift if you need to slow down....LOL!

Free is the best part of any project, don't get me wrong I like the table, it's just to small for me.

I like it! That's perfect for engine disassembly and assembly, because you usually want parts and tools in a dedicated clean location. At least I do. Would you give some dimensions? I wouldn't mind duplicating that.

You bet, I usually put them up on CAD but this one I had in my head and sketched it out on a cocktail napkin with a pencil. I will post it up with dimensions.

Thanks. The only thing I might would change would be the height depending on how tall the finished product is. I'm pretty tall and cannot stand bending down. lol

I made it the same height as my shop counter tops intentionally. That way I could nest it next to a counter if I wanted but it would be easy to make it taller. I made the lower shelf 18" below the top surface, I just picked a number.

WAIT A MINUTE....WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE......what kind of manly man drinks cocktails???? LOL

My Dr. told me not to drink cocktails so I drink beer instead. I don't think he knows about the beer.

Had to give up adult beverages when I had my knees replaced. Never got back to it but now I have more money for car parts:)

Figure of speech, in retrospect I could have used a different term:)

Nice table rat!

This is what I made with brakes as a catch all cart. It's taller than the norm and I mounted the grinder and vice for mobility. I will cover it with aluminum when I star building a motor but now it's a catchall because I am a shop pig sometimes!
