penstarpurist, let me stir up controversy by saying that, IMHO, although the Slixer was a fantastic engine dependability-wise, the heads were originally designed for economy and Ma Mopar never redesigned them, so they need one hell of a lot of porting work if you want it to breathe well.
Or you can force the air in with a turbo-charger or super-charger. One youtube shows a 9.09 sec 1/4-mile in a slant w/ turbo, plus tubbed rear-end with big sticky tires. It is not easy to do either since no store-bought kits.
