You probably want to check with the place you got the spacer, but a Dana 60 is 240 - 300 ft lbs and I think they have the same threads on the pinion.
 
What torque setting did you use to set the preload?
To properly set the preload you would have to set the torque of the nut to its final setting.
 
"A lot". As said, I would contact the manufacturer of that solid spacer. Don't forget to stake the nut to the pinion shaft, too.
 
Depends on if it's a 10 spline or 29 spline because the threads are a different size. If it's a 10 spline I torque them to 180. If it's a 29 I torque them to 240. I also use loctite on the threads.

Only the later 29 spline 8-3/4 is the same as the Dana. The early units used a 10 spline that was a smaller size
