2JZ VVT engine swap in an Early A Body?

Bored searching the net, I came across a pretty cool engine swap. A guy shoved a Toyota mark 4 Supra engine and trans into a 71 Scamp. Got me thinking pretty hard about what all would have to be done. After a few hours of searching I ended up with a lot of information like engine width, length, transmission options, ecu and rear sump setup. Did a bunch smashing away on a calculator and came up with a grand total of 5 thousand dollars. 2500 for the engine trans ecu and harness.....obviously a 7 1/4 won’t work.....Ford Exploder rear end, and Knick knack junk. So for about 5 grand I could have a 500 plus hp Early abody with tons of aftermarket options. Has anyone on here done this?

How would you feel seeing one?
And if anyone would be interested in a 2JZ swap how too because the guy I found said it just drops right in with minimal modifications. Didn’t even have to reshape the trans tunnel. I have already made the deposit for the engine and it should be here in a few months. Engine has about 60k miles on it with a bigger turbo, aftermarket headers, adjustable cam gears, stage 2 clutch, and a few other mods.

Deemo, I'm the one who swapped the Scamp in 2013. There is some build progress/threads here on FABO. It's not a super hard swap but you will need to fab mounts/brackets/exhaust, etc. I've gotten tons of flack on the car and been called names, etc. But all in all the car works great as a complete Pro Touring car that makes over 700 hp and still can get 23 mpg. I used a Lexus SC300 mid/rear sump pan on the stock slant K member, and a TA Pitman and Idler to give a little more pan clearance. No real hacking and cutting of the car BUT due to the stock K-Member requirement, (budget), we did have to get creative with radiator clearance. We used a 92 Supra pin mount radiator and fabbed the lower rad support so it would drop in. Thin Flex-A-Lite twin fans keep it cool. It also has a Vintage Air condensor in front. If you have a Dart you have way more room! The car is "Hellcat" fast and Lexus smooth. Haters can hate and they WILL, but most folks can't do a swap like this on their own. ;)
