would you buy one of these?

I believe dodge used to sell rear wheel conversions for Daytonas back in the 80's so you could put a v8 into the thing. I agree it's a very nice build, but a ton of effort and money spent.
It was built and marketed for ss/gt racing,It cost me about $600 in 1992 money. I had serial #006 kit and installed it in a 1986 340 Laser. It used a custom k,stock a-srms (switched from right to left for front steering) ,brakes and struts (all to be upgraded) ,included a pre bent and indexed drop tube with mounting ears for the motor mounting (spool) and a trans mount. Trans tunnel needed mods, and I had an 8 3/4 rear welded to the stock trailing arms and modified the panhard bar to clear the housing bump. Cop 15" wheels fit under the car. It used a Dakota manual rack and a modified lower shaft converted to front steer. I traded it for a 66 sport fury convertable 4 speed car before I was done. I believe Quantum 53's buddy is Exline fabricating and they made nice kits .
