I sold my Dart in 2013 after 15 years of owning it. Why, I don't really know. I had just retired and a month later my daughter passed away. Should have given everything more thought but I didn't. Anyway, a bodies have always been a part of my life so when Alex (alex5280) found a '69 Valiant in Missouri, I jumped on it. That was March of 2017. Thanks to Alex, higgs (hollywood hig) and Dave (jaws), I'm close to where I was before I sold the Dart! The first pics are from the ad on craigslist

The next thing was to make it stop and replace the bent K-frame. Thanks to jaws for giving me the K out of his Barracuda, and a Dr Diff disc brake kit, the work began. I also had to change to LBP wheels, so I sold the wheels that came on it.

The paint was a little rough so I wet sanded entire car with 2000 and let a local restoration shop polish it. The next project is a 340! Thanks to higgs, who gave me the block & pistons, I'm putting together a nice little small block to "wake it up"

Then an 8 3/4 for the rear, again Dr Diff!

Heck, yeah, dude! Nice looking car. I like the 67-76 models the best. The car ought to scram nicely with the 340. Are you going with a 3.55 gear?

Why the open chamber ede's? Should buy the 60779 head and correct head gasket even with a 340.

Nice car and good on Higgs for helping you. He's a good guy for sure!

Congratulations. You've just become the owner of one of thee best a bodies ever made. Handling , straight line drag race...road race, itll do it all with the right bolt on's and drive train combos that can give a weight 49% ratio.
Enjoy it with whatever direction you go , you scored.

Hey Great to see The Valiant grace to FABO pages!!! It was really a funny kinda of deal. I think it was a Saturday afternoon at Higgs place...Higgs, Brock, and I were shooting the Mopar BS. We talked about Brocks next Mopar...when it was to be found who was to know??? He did say if he found the right 69' Valiant that just might be his next Mopar. Before I left I said "I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything". The very next morning sitting on my couch with my coffee in hand, looking through SearchTempest online, I saw the ad for this Cream Puff 69'. It was 8:30 am. The ad had just been placed on CL. I called the owner and said "Please give me first chance at buying your car, my friend Brock will call you soon". He said OK and we hung up. 15 hours later after asking Brock if I should look for a 69' Valiant for him...I called Brock and told him I found your Valiant! The rest is history as they say. His Valiant sure is one nice 69' Valiant. Congratulations Brock, she is a beauty!!!

Hi Geof, It's good to be back. Please give Nella a big old HUG for me!

Summit says 60179 heads are designed for non-emission 1968-73 340 C.I.D. Chrysler engines. RPM Chrysler 340 heads have chambers machined .060" for clearance with early high-compression engines. Not so on the 60779 heads. Not sure what you're saying on head gasket. higgs, Alex & Dave are the best!
