HEI All in one

Yes I rebuild them but sounds like you could use one to get running. Any Idea what curve you might need?

Man it's been years since I've curved a dist. It's stock for now, so we're going to give it a good check, clean it up, paint it and drop it in once we get the parts together. This is my son's first car so I don't want to hand him a rocket, and I've even considered torturing him with a 2bbl but that's just mean spirited. :)

If you look at my posting history, actually you've chimed in on a few of my threads I think. We started with trying to get the 170 /6 currently in it running but it's been a nightmare. One thing after another with it. I'm sick if shoving money down the carb (gone through two of those) so we're going this route. This was the longer term goal anyway, we just decided to move ahead sooner rather than later.

We've got the following for the swap so far.

Early A V8 exhaust manifolds
Early A V8 center-link (arriving)
Early A V8 (273) torsion rods (arriving)
Early A AC/V8 cable throttle assembly (still need to find a pedal with a good "hinge")
98 Magnum (with flex plate)

The rest is relatively easy to find so it's down to making sane decisions and scrounging second hand sources. That's why I was asking about these all in one units. Nice tight little package to get things going. I do like the HEI conversions, and we were going to end up doing that in the slant, but here we are.... Seems like a nice little package. Stock parts, easy to source, get rid of the ballast and BAM, HEI goodness.

I suppose what I should do is start a thread with the car etc.
