Guys

My trailer was stolen on 10.27.18 from a friends storage yard in Lake Elsinore Ca. It's a custom tilt trailer, all my tools, air compressor, winch..Etc. It's a very recognizable trailer 25' long. If anyone sees it please give me a call Chuck Merken 951.805.8668.. The only good thing is our car wasn't on it...

Thanks

That is terrible and I truly hope you can recover it.
I know this don't help you any but if it is recovered I'd slap a tracker on it.
I'm currently researching trackers and ordered one off amazon. I'll be letting everyone know how it works and if it's worth even using.

Best of luck and thank God your beautiful car wasn't strapped on it.

I'm afraid it's gone. Idaho, example, requires nothing more than a hand-written bill of sale. They don't title trailers, so there's no tracking of VIN/ ser no. It would take thieves who can fabricate--or hire it done--one day to change the appearance of it so much even you would not recognize it, and strip any serial no's. So write a bill of sale, sell it and re-register, it's gone

Even my trailer, bought used and built commercially, locally, had only a plastic decal for serial no. I melted that thing when I modified it for tilt.

Not always, My friend got a inclosed trailer stole, the insurance co. paid for it then 6 years later the cops raided a house for drugs and found the trailer, they didn't change a thing on it even had his plates on it. They ran the plates and it came up in my friends name so they called him wanting to know what his relationship was with them, that's when he told them it was stolen years ago. Not so bright thieves. Anyway sorry to here that it got taken, Some people suck.

If any of you have members here you know are from California tag them in this post.
If I see it here in Arkansas I will let you know

That's why you have insurance on the good stuff. He probably has $50k tied up in trailer & car. Don't tell me no insurance on them. BS.

I'm in the bay area, I will also be eyes for ya.
Hope they catch the scum bags and u get it back. Wouldn`t take long to totally change the looks tho------------good luck !

Was that the only thing stolen? Do you know when it was taken? Overnight? Weekend? Is the yard a storage business? If it was targeted, well, it's gone. But if it was taken spur of the moment, there a chance someone just sitting on it. That's messed up. Few years ago a wrecker pulled up,middle of the day, middle of the week at a friend's house. Guys were out and were about to cut the lock on his gate to get at a car he had. Luckily his wife was home and stopped them. They had the nerve to claim they had bought the car. I am in Rancho Cucamonga. I will keep an eye out for it.
