For Pete's Sake - Somebody build a "TRUE" out of the box head that you can bolt and go with "peace in mind"...…..
Stock clearances are usually sloppy cast iron clearances. Those of us that race and beat on our stuff want better quality control and check things closer. Kinda like degreeing in cams. If you don’t care don’t do it, but if you want top Performance you would never build an engine without doing it. Same with stock type pistons not needing precision clearances because it’s built for a car going 55 miles per hour cruising to Walmart.
