Does anyone know what the engine side to side offset is on a 64 barracuda.

Measure from air cleaner stud on a V8 to right fender and to left fender, what is the difference.

There is a offset to the passenger side but I don't think I ever saw a number.

I'm thinking about running a tunnel ram with a custom 6-pack top and a Mr Norm's tri power air cleaner with a 4" element. I trying to figure out if it will fit with the Harwood scoop I have when it's centered on the hood.

Why would you want to hide all that goodness under a scoop?

My tunnel ran did not fit in the cut out for the Harwood scoop but I like it more sticking up where I can see it any way.

I ended up making a trim ring to fix the scoop hole and make it all look centered.

My scoop was centered.

It's hard to see but if you look at the center line of the hood vs the center of the carbs you can see it's off set. It's even more so because the linkage and fule line now come through the hood.

I even cut the hood more to match the trim ring so it dont look like a filler peice.

I don't know Cope, your engine appears to be an 1/16 over to far. lol

That's because I pushed the engine over with a solid mount that's 1/16 taller to off set the driver weight.

:)

Some states , Massachusetts for one , anything sticking out of the hood is a failed safety inspection . Some folks put a hood scoop on just for inspection and then take it off for cruisin' . My friend has a blower motor (671) and he has to either take it off or cover it .
