Most of the auto parts store octane booster does little to nothing to raise octane. I have used Torco Accelerator which does actually work. For boosted applications octane is super important to prevent pre-ignition (knock) which will break pistons/rings etc. See link below and it's unleaded so safe for catalytic convertors
