I found a bunch of info on where to locate the pentastar emblem on various B-bodies, C-bodies, and some a bodies, but nothing specific to dodge dart. I have a 67 dodge dart, my body guy did the fenders and voila, no holes for my emblem. Does anyone have measurements for drilling for the emblem?

thanks,

Brian

I hope that helps. In mm sorry. I don't have an inch scale.

Yes, very helpful, thank you. The starting point I assume for each measurement was the fender edge, either side and bottom edge.

We in America should have been on the metric system since the 1970's...luckily I'm a scientist, so metric is second nature to me.

I would try to reach back in the fender and locate the original holes, they may just have light filler in them that you could punch back out with a small wire or something.

Thanks Mopar-Mitch, no they replaced the metal so those holes are gone. I heard an interesting fact today, when Chrysler bought the Sunbeam, some Tigers had the pentastar on the fender....did not know that.

67a273Post, if you want to put the hole measurements on here, that would be great; it would be a great second measurement to confirm, thanks.

Good info on the Sunbeam's, my car is a Demon location my be different, my brother has a 68 dart, I will measure it tomorrow when I'm up there.

I would take a piece of thin cardboard and make a template of the pentastar with the two holes in it, then tape it to the car in the right spot and drill the holes. You could see that it is straight that way.

Good point, this is definitely a measure like 50 times then drill scenario. I like the template idea, I did that with cutting marker light holes once.

I've a 67 w just the hole if u want that measurement

Yes please, can you please send the measurements for the hole? I'm having trouble reconciling the other measurements with my fender. I don't have the wheelwell chrome or rocker moulding on, so if you don't either, that would make it more accurate for me.

thank you,

Brian

I found another car (67 dart 2 door hardtop) and took measurements (all to the center of the pentastar, parallel with bottom line of fender). No rocker trim or wheel well trim on this car. 5" from edge of fender on door side, 4" from edge of fender on wheel side, 7-1/8" from bottom edge of fender.

BTW, the main post on the emblem is centered on it, so those measurements are for the bigger hole to drill.
