The Power of Apple Cider Vinegar for Rust Removal
An update on my last block with the stuck pistons.
I let it soak for a long time and pulled it from the tank every now and then. Got 1 of the 3 pistons out. Then last saturday was able to get the other 2 out.
I dropped in to the calcium carbonate tank to neutralize the vinegar.
I will pull it out of that in a couple days and take it to the Machine Shop to have it checked.
In the one picture you can see the rust on the cylinder wall that was between piston and the block.
The number 1 and 3 caps show a light coat of rust from being out of the tank and air drying before I could dry them.
