I don’t drink enough anymore to have to eat it. Great for a night of heavy drinking. My mother in law used to cook it. What a horrific smell in would make during the process. That and tripas. Good eating though.
Yea the intestinal wall of the tripe is supposed to absorb toxins from drinking. I've tried some of the 'best' menudo. The best I can do is eat the hominy a kernel at a time in an attempt to be sociable.
