Restoring a windshield washer fluid tank

-
All I can think of is to soak it in something like Westley's Bleche-Wite. But somehow, I don't really believe it'll work.

Have a stained plastic tank. Anyone have any success cleaning one or just replace it?
I've used rid-rust to remove most of the staining and then cleaned it up a bit better with bleach white (wesley I think) but it never went back to original bright translucent white. it was a uniform color slightly eggshell white colored.

Hello Hamerhead,
If you go the aftermarket replacement option keep in mind that some repos do not have the correct Mopar insignia, part number, and or date code on them if that matters.
Happy Mopar :)

I had a couple spares I had for sale, one was dirty as hell. Buyer cleaned it up and.it was like new. I would go light on the bleach at first. Scotchbrite pad will help. If it isn't brittle, they are pretty durable.

Thanks for all the answers. Cleaned it up pretty good but its got a few crack lines and fill neck is chipped from brittleness. Will use for now and watch for decent replacement

I think Hydrin peroxide if you soak it. I will ask my buddy he did his. Makes it look like new.
Let me double check.
