Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 EFI

Yes, Edelbrock advise;
“Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 EFI has an internal Coil Driver capable of direct firing an ignition coil. No CDI Box or external ignition devices are required. When choosing an Ignition Coil a primary resistance of .4 to 1.4 OHM’s is recommended. Exceeding this primary resistance range could cause internal damage to the ECU. Edelbrock recommends Max Fire Coil part #22741 or #22740. If running a CDI box there are no limitations to coil specification.”

So those Ford coils would probably be a good choice then? I mean, the coils used on the late 80's and early 90's 5.0 and 5.8 V8's? The "HEI" looking type. Their wiring pigtail is dead simple to splice in.
