Im a huge ebay fan im always browsing and shopping for deals. Part of it is im poor and cant afford to pay new prices for everything so I typically try to buy stuff used for cheaper. And the other part is I enjoy the thrill of the bidding lol. Anyways while browsing 360 parts i came across these roller rockers. Now rollers wasnt part of the plan but this price seems to be too good to be true. They are aluminum adjustable roller rockers with shafts and pedestals. They are 1.6 rockers. Do you thing that they are just junk that will never last or is someone finally throwing us mopar guys a bone by offering affordable parts? Here is the link tell me what you think.

And as a comment... they are as chinesium as can be, no doubt. Nothing against that, but I find it highly irritating
when the manufacturer calls himself Procomp Electronics.

Yea I noticed that as well. I thought it was a little weird to have rockers branded as electronics lol.

I'd use stock replacements before bolting those up.
Thanks for your input. I have three or four sets of factory rockers so that is my intention I just seen these and it seems like such a deal. Lol

Never bought or experienced them. I will say, I've known some that have taken the step and couldn't use them due to bad quality

I bought a set of PRW PQ's at a discounted price on eBay; very similar in construction: needle bearings and roller tips. The shafts did not last and were getting gouged out/fretted <1k miles. I 'think' it had plenty of oiling, excellent oil pressure all over the operating range, and the engine was not being revved much at all. Valve spring rates were just 1st level hi-po, nothing high at all. The shafts were probably not hardened properly, and based on the shipping address (which was PRW's address), they were either being sold 'out the back door' or were mixed 'seconds', with the shafts just pulled from who knows where.

So buyer beware.

I may retry the ones I bought with some hardened shafts from Mancini. But needles are problematic in rockers because:
  • The hardness of the shaft need to be in the right range
  • The needle sizing needs to be correct for them to last, especially with oscillating motions at small angles, which, from my reading, is a life reducer. The reversals tend to interrupt the oil film, leading to metal-to-metal contact.

I have had hit and miss experience with cheap Chinese knockoffs. Iv had some stuff be ok and work fine. But on the other hand I bought 3 different sets of Chinese ripoff broadheads they where rage knockoffs swakers and muzzys. They where cheap cheap. Like a couple bucks vs 40 or 50 for the name brand. And they looked just like the real thing until it came to shooting them the rages just came apart. They flew great but the animal they hit completely destroyed them. The swakers wouldnt fly. They flew like a bent arrow would fly. The muzzy knockoffs where not bad they where just dull. I have never bought any chinese car parts tho.

We cannot get away from china these days. but this isn't so much about "china" as it is the poor quality of product you are being offered - all for you 127.99 :D

I did put a set of Harland Sharps on my '01 Ram - just to do it. So far, excellent quality

Do you need 1.6 ratio? Cheap is exactly that: cheap! A $100 set of used 273 rockers would do you better. You would need different pushrods though. How about the aluminums? Do they require different pushrods as well?

You answered your own question when you typed " Too good to be true ? "
They just don't do quality well........and for that price , I would not expect quality.

I've had great luck with PRW stainless rockers. Look at those for an affordable alternative. They're bushed and the stainless construction should last a heck of a lot longer than cheap aluminum.

I just got a set of PRW stainless rockers, bushed with roller tip, for 225 on amazon. One of those “one left” close out deals 50% off. Quality seems pretty good and I don’t think needle bearing are appropriate or required for a street motor so the bushing should be more reliable. You do get what you pay for and $125 with shafts doesn’t leave room for quality.

Inspect the bushings very closely. I had one that needed to be replaced out of the box. Also, when you mount them up, make sure to check that the rollers are square to the top of valve stem. I've heard some have issues with that, Luckily, mine didn't.

Its all fun and games till one of them grenades and sends shavings through through the engine :steering:
